Sellers and buyers, beware. Just about anyone can say they are a home inspector in Colorado. It’s an unregulated industry, and inspectors don’t have to be licensed. They don’t even have to register with the state. So if you want to know the actual condition before buying or selling a home, you need an experienced, reliable inspector you can trust. That’s where Jim comes in.
Our founder, Jim Cone, has over 35 years of practical experience as a contractor and home inspector. He takes the time to thoroughly examine each building for hidden damage, dangerous problems, and questionable contracting practices. Jim is an American Home Inspectors Training (AHIT) Certified Master Inspector, an EPA-listed Radon Mitigator, and a member of both the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) and the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). Jim always strives to be the best inspector he can be, and belonging to these organizations gives him the opportunity for continued education and industry insight.
At First Priority Home Inspections, we use state-of-the-art tools and methods to create detailed and accurate reports. For example, drone inspections and sewer scopes give us insight into out-of-reach areas of a building. We also offer mold detection and radon mitigation to keep your property safe.
Our goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of your home or business. We pride ourselves on thorough and reliable inspections of residential and commercial buildings. That’s why we serve Colorado Springs and the surrounding El Paso county community with honesty and integrity.
